Let’s get those lips ready for smooching and that neck ready for nuzzling.
When we get new GLO lovelies coming in, the lips are always top of the wish list. Here’s everything you need to know about plumping up your pucker. For starters, there are no duck lips here—ever. We just won’t and don’t do that. Everybody’s face is different, and so are their lips. What it takes to get a natural, you but the better result is too. For our clients in their 20s and 30s, if you’re just looking for a little boost, the filler is not our first suggestion. Doing a lip flip with a neuromodulator is. It’s easy peasy. Just a quick prick with Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin, and you’re out the door. However, if you’re in your 20s or 30s and have spent your life up until this point overdrawing your lips with liner and using plumping glosses because you weren’t gifted by the lip gods, there are multiple options. Kysse, Silk, and Volbella, for starters, but there is an art to injecting lips. It is so obvious to us when we’re out and about who has been worked on by an injector who made one entry point and just sort of squished the product in.
WE DO NOT DO THAT.
Our founder, Diana Adams is so focused on continuing education for the whole team, we have a variety of techniques that will give you a naturally beautiful result. When you hit your 40s and beyond, the conversation changes. With age comes not just volume loss or dehydration in the (used to be) plump part of your pout but the area surrounding the lip. There’s no point in injecting filler without doing needed work around the lip border and as we age in the area above and below the mouth. We love a PDO thread or two in that area to naturally make your own collagen give back the lift it’s lost. You don’t need to have thinning chicken lips—ever.
Now let’s talk necks. Nobody’s getting their neck nuzzled if they’re in a turtleneck trying to hide what gravity is doing. Please, please, PLEASE believe us when we say there is so much that can be done!! The key is doing it now when grooves are starting to appear, and the skin is starting to get crepey. Depending on where your area of concern is, it can be something as simple as a microneedle appointment or a Sciton Moxi/BBL laser treatment, or laser in combo with bio collagen stimulators like Radiesse or even neuromodulators like Botox.
If things have already really started to move south, there are still, options; however, if we think surgery is better, we will tell you. One thing to consider, your results only get boosted over time with microneedle, laser, and bio-collagen stimulators, so if you’re looking forward to showing some skin this summer, the time to get started is now.
As Always,
Love, Gratitude, and GLO
